With the widely requirements on infrared imaging simulation technology that are used in national defense, military, medical and aerospace fields, and the development on computer simulation technology, the infrared images are generated by using the computer simulation that has become an important research topic in infrared scene simulation fields. A simulation method of infrared imaging that with target scene and image sensors is studied based on Vega in this paper.Based on the basic knowledge and principles of infrared imaging simulation and visual simulation technology, a simulation system of image sensor in the complex optical environment is built in this paper. The paper is focuses on the principles and method of Visual simulation, the modeling of complex3D scene and target entity, the performance analysis and modeling on infrared detector. The simulation of infrared sensor is achieved by using the Sensor module. In a simulated3D scene, the target arrived at detector that need through atmospheric and optical system, the detector will transformed the received radiation into the electrical signals, and then the infrared images are generated after signal processing on electrical signals. In the experiments, the driver and man-machine interface program are written by the Vega and MFC, the visual simulation of infrared is achieved and the simulation on image sensor in the complex optical environment is finished ultimately.The method that achieved of infrared visual simulation is simple, effective and feasible, the infrared target images that simulated are realistic, this method has some reference value for the development and applications of infrared imaging technology in related fields.
