Dental Video Consultation System Design

In this paper, design a DSP system that applies in dental video diagnosis. This system can realize the video diagnosis and check, it’s based on keeping the traditional dental consultation model.It can be also extended real time storage, remote diagnosis and transmitting the image data and other functions.DSP technology makes it in image processing, video surveillance and network transmission and so on, DSP will have more broad prospects.The subject through the application of needs analysis, design and development of a based on the Texas Instruments’company DSP (Digital Image Processing) chip video processing system, the main modules of the system are included that dental image acquisition, image processing, image display and network transmission module. Through these basic module establishment, for the initial realization of dental video diagnosis system laid the foundation of value function. Main content in this paper is that using the special structure of the CMOS camera image acquisition teeth; using DSP data input interface, through the A/D conversion chip to realize video analog-digital conversion to achieve data transmission to DSP system; real time video input signal will be stored in the SDRAM system, each storing a frame, acquisition is completed by DSP chip on the logical control of the system to extract the single frame image; On the extraction of single frame image to achieve image preprocessing and other related functions, including image enhancement, image compression, image feature extraction, image zoom, image storage and related algorithms;the system through the JTAG interface to achieve the target board communication with the PC machine, realize the interrupt control, image acquisition, image processing, image transmission and other related functions. Topic selection of TMS320DM642as a CPU of dental video diagnosis system, this paper expounds each interface links between modules and concrete realization method, through Protel software to draw the hardware connection diagram; the use of CCS development environment and C language to achieve a dental diagnostic system driver and application program design.DSP system has a high speed data processing capacity, can carry out the system following function.1.Real time acquisition and display of teeth images.2. Selectively on the dental image image enhancement, feature extraction, image magnification, preservation and other image processing.3.Scalable network transmission remote consultation and other functions.
