Our country is one of the most serious geological disasters in the world, andmost geological disasters behave as landslides. Before the landslide occurred, if wemonitor the likely landslide occurred area in real-time, grasp its deformation trend,and then we can predict landslide effectively, at the same time minimize the losscaused by landslide. However, the region of happen landslide happen is often a widerange of area, How to monitor the whole landslide area is one of the problems beforeus. If we install a large number of sensor nodes on the landslide, and make thesenodes form a wireless sensor network, then through this network we can sendlandslide field data to remote monitoring center, thus we can achieve the monitoringof the entire landslide area.Wireless sensor network is dependent on the wireless communication technology,ZigBee technology by virtue of its low-cost, low power, short time delay, the largenetwork capacity and other characteristics are widely used in a variety of wirelesssensor monitoring field. The implementation of the ZigBee technology can’t beseparated from the communication protocol, TI company’s ZStack protocol integratesall the features of ZigBee and ZigBee PRO and this make it the best choice for useZigBee technology.This paper uses―Data Acquisition-Data transfer–Remote data reception‖asthe research route, through the design of sensor acquisition nodes, the system basestations, remote monitoring host device three function model and use ZigBeetechnology and Short Messaging Service complete the WSN landslide monitoringsystem. Among them, sensor acquisition nodes and base station set up a ZigBee starwireless network by using ZStack protocol to complete the landslide field dataacquisition task; system base station, transfer the landslide field data to remotemonitoring center; remote monitoring host device receive the landslide field data through use GSM module. Sensor acquisition node use the wireless RF chip CC2530as core processor achieve the perception of the physical parameters of landslide, byusing surface cracks, slope, soil temperature and soil humidity four types of sensormeasurements; system base station use―wireless MCU (CC2530)+master MCU (theSTM32F101)+GSM module‖architecture enables seamless connectivity of ZigBeewireless network to a GSM network, and ultimately complete the task of remote datatransmission.When the system are completed, system performance is tested by three aspectswhich is the network performance, power consumption and the data of sensors. Thetest results show that the system has formed a strong anti-interference, safe, stablewireless sensor networks; the system can get the information of landslide and transferthese information and have low power consumption. Therefore, the system can meetthe requirements of the WSN landslide monitoring task.
