The Nand Flash IP Core Design Based On The SoC

In recent years, the proportion of Flash memory in the market is increased. NandFlash on the market at present is the main volatile flash technology.SoC is a special targetintegrated circuits,it includes a complete system,and the entire content of theembedded software. Design the Nand Flash IP core, suitable forWishbone bus interface, make controller can be used as a wishbone slave device.Convenient for the controller SoC realized. This Paper Primary Coverage:(1) Analyzes the SoC technology, reusable ip technology,and the characteristicsof bus on the chip. Expounds the reason of select the wishbone bus as the bus interfaceof this design.(2) Introduces the physical structure of Nand Flash, the address selection methodand characteristics.And compare with Nor Flash.(3) According to the function of Nand Flash IP core design expected to reach,division design module, complete Wishbone slave interface module, state controlmodule, timing produce module.Discusses how to decode the instructions fromwishbone host device. And give the state control module, the RESET,READ,PAGEPROGRAM operation state machine design process.And give the basic timingoperation method of Nand Flash,and make the code for IP packing.(4) To design of Nand Flash IP core,and make the functional simulation. In thesimulation phase of the IP core is expected to achieve all the features of acomprehensive verification. The results show that the design of Nand Flash IP corethat can be correctly implemented RESET,READ ID,READ,PAGE PROGRAM,COPY BACK PROGRAM,BLOCK ERASE operation. Achieved the desired designrequirements.In this paper, the design of Nand Flash IP core through verification, functioncorrectly, provides a convenient for the users make the related development in thefuture, shorten the development cycle.
