Dual clutch transmission (DCT) which based on the parallel-axis manualtransmission is a new kind of automatic transmission, not only inherits the manualtransmission’s advantages of cheap, simple structure, high transmission efficiency,adapts to a wide range of torque, but also shifts economically in a good shiftingquality without power interruption, with a good shift quality and fuel economy.Therefore, the automobile industry in various countries pays attention to it.However, the domestic research on DCT has just begun. The infrastructure is weak,and many key technologies still have not been grasped. In this paper, according tothe research at library, application layer software for the shifting schedule andcontrol of clutch during shifting of DCT are developed on the basis of the V-model.As the core of the electronic control system, application software affects thevehicle’s dynamic, economy and comfort directly. In this paper, the six-speeddual-clutch automatic transmission is studied, the main contents include:1. Following the physical structure of the DCT, having developed the DCTphysical model based on SimMechanics platform which includes engine, dualclutch, gear and vehicle model;2. Analyzing the principle of DCT shift and study the state of the clutch in thegear shifting process. Based on engine performance, having developed atwo-parameter power shift schedule and the control strategy of clutch;3. The specific implementation of the shift schedule and control strategies inSimulink/Stateflow environment being given, and introducing the code generatedautomatically by RTW and Hardware-In-the Loop Simulation in MATLAB.
