The core issue of this study is how state-like constructs affect experientialtraining outcomes. In recent years, experiential training are widely used by enterprises,and further brought into the colleges. But the theory study of experiential training isstill not deep, and research achievement of the individual features which influentexperiential training outcomes still few. Although state-like constructs plays animportant role in training as individual features, it has not got more attention. On thebasis of previous research, this paper uses self-communication and interpersonalcommunication theory, based on audience difference, from the aspects ofcommunication psychology gives comprehensive analysis in which aspects and howstate-like constructs affect training outcomes.According to the opinion of Kanfer(1992), this study based on audiencedifference, utilized empirical study to build up and explain a model with state-likeindividual differences (i.e. achievement goal orientation) and training outcomes (i.e.learning, reaction and attitude). About334students from the course of “Self-discover” at career development research center of Jiangxi Normal University. Theresults show that, state-like individual differences had a direct effect on trainingoutcomes. At the end of this paper, the author discusses the research results, andproposes training implication, limitation, and directions for future research.
