With the rapid development of information technology and communication technology,the network is playing a more and more important role in our society. Since the tendency ofthe application of the future network is mobile computing and pervasive computing, theinterconnection between networks becomes inevitable. Nowadays, the heterogeneity ofnetworks is becoming more and more apparent, and the network system is becoming moreand more complex, and security threat is becoming more and more serious, so the assuranceof the quality of service (QoS) in the heterogeneous networks has become a research hot spot.This paper launched research on the mapping and negotiation problems of QoS inheterogeneous networks and put forward the Learning-based Unified Self-adaptive QoSMapping Method (LUS-QMM) and the inter-domain QoS negotiation mechanism based onfuzzy synthetic decision.Firstly, in view of the present situation of the network development and the applicationtrend of the future network, this paper brought in the concept and theoretical framework of theSUPER-NET, and introduced the concept and classification of the QoS technology, andanalyzed the mapping and negotiation methods of the assurance of QoS in SUPER-NET.Then, the paper analyzed the original method of QoS mapping deeply and comparedwith all the QoS mapping methods that usually used at present. By analyzing andsummarizing the character of the parameters and classification of various QoS scheme, thispaper put forward Learning-based Unified Self-adaption QoS Mapping Method.In addition, the paper constructed the QoS inter-domains connection model to describethe end-to-end connection in heterogeneous networks, and put forward the QoS domainnegotiation mechanism based on fuzzy synthetic decision, which can solve the problem ofassurance-loss of single-domain.Finally, this paper experimentalized the QoS mapping and negotiation mechanism in anetwork interconnection environment including the UMTS network and the WiMAX network,which was deployed through extending the NS2.
