Process control is very important in the modern industry, and in the actual control system common controlled variables are liquid level, temperature, pressure and flow, and in this experiment the controlled parameter is liquid level. In these experiments, the controlled object is advanced process control system which contains several parts, but there-tank water level system is used. There-tank water level system simulates a multiple container flow system which is a nonlinear, time-varying experimental system, and it’s suitable for the liquid level control of. The control platform is Rockwell automation platform, and ControlLogix system controller as the core, and Netlinx network architecture to integrate advanced integrated architecture. The article is a study in the framework of there-tank water level system, respectively, using the PID control algorithm, the fuzzy control algorithm and adaptive fuzzy control algorithm. The main contents are as follows.1. An analysis and study of advanced process control system about the technical parameters of the experimental device, and the mathematic model of the mechanism established by the three-tank water system.2. Studys the basic principle of the PID control algorithm, the fuzzy control algorithm and adaptive control algorithm, and analyze of their characteristics. And propose the total principle of design.3. Analyzes the network characteristics of the NetLinx network framework Ethernet, control nets, equipment nets. Proposed the network design ideas and relevant parameters and equipment4. Learn to master the use of the Rockwell Software, design using Rockwell controller to realize three tank water control project.5.In view of the above three algorithm is designed, use Matlab software do system simulation and edit the corresponding control program to realize the actual control three-tank water system.6. Compare the results of three kinds of control strategies, and analyze the effect of each control, and adaptive fuzzy control system is the best.
