The laboratorial apparatus of three-tank water level control system is a scientificresearch product, which allows study of the principles of process control as theprocess variables, for example the level and flux, to be measured, controlled andobserved for its variability during the simulation process of modern industrialmanufacture. It has the common characteristic of dynamic process in process controlsuch as great inertia, larger delay, nonlinear and difficulty of being controlledprecisely, so that it becomes a perfect experimental platform in the field of processcontrol teaching, testing and study. Consequently, three-tank water level controlsystem has received wide application in the monitoring and fault diagnosis algorithmsof coupled nonlinear systems. Based on this system, it realized the on-line monitoringof multivariate process by using algorithms of Fuzzy-PID control and OPCtechnology.First, this thesis analyzed the manufacture process, static and dynamiccharacteristics of three-tank water level control system. Based on experiment, themodel of three-tank water level control system is educed. The model and simulationof three-tank water level control system is implemented by using of Simulink. The three-tank process system is a lag-time, big inertial system with mufti-nonlinearvariables. It is very difficult to obtain good control quality if we only use thetraditional control methods. Consequently, a Fuzzy-PID controller that combine fuzzycontrol technique and traditional PID methods is designed and simulated. Then, basedon research about mechanism of communications between OPC server and OPCclient, the tekecommunications between the configuration software Facview ofHollySys company and Kingview6.5 is carried out. Finally, in virtue of OPCconfiguration, the long-range monitoring of three-tank water level control system isrealized by using Kingview6.5 of Beijing Asiacontrol Automatic Software CO., LTD.
