Two-dimensional object detection and tracking system is an important subject in computer control technology、machine vision and digital image processing also has an important position in the modernization of military、national infrastructure、economic development and other areas, missile guidance、vehicle license plate extraction for example.This article mainly analysis the principle and identification method of two-dimensional visual object detection and tracking system and has detailed design for control method of two-dimensional turntable, combined with the existing structure of two-dimensional turntable in laboratory. First in the application of target detection, we improve the traditional image segmentation in the process of detection and recognition for characteristics of object according to the basic requirement of accuracy and speed, which greatly reduces the calculation of volume and enlarges the digital image processing speed. With the help of optimal threshold method of image segmentation, the system achieves a better effect of segmentation. Secondly, characteristics of objects in two-dimensional visual detection and tracking system exist uncertainty、background interference and nonlinear motion. We make full use of the PID control toolbox under LabVIEW software development kit, combining with conventional PID control and timely principle of fuzzy control. It makes the system not only reduces the overshoot but also reduces the response time and regulation time. Combined with digital PID algorithm and fuzzy logic, we complete the design of fuzzy PID, which makes the control in turntable speed and accurate position and meet the requirement of target tracking in accuracy and response speed. We complete the control to acquisition card based on LabVIEW by calling the dynamic link library, which is given by the third part motion control card.The system designed in this paper was tested in laboratory after completion. The test results showed that, the PID controller could control two-dimensional pan-tilt well under the LabVIEW platform after moving target visual detection. We made the two-dimensional pan-tilt track the characteristics of motion objects accurately and rapidly and completed visual object detection and tracking.
