After studying on the status of motion control technology, different motion control implement project and current application status, this paper develops a motion control card based on PCI BUS which is low cost, opened and without microprocessor. The card can collect four axes' encoder pulse signals simultaneously, and control servo motor by four output analog voltage. Furthermore, it can control input and output I/O signals. And the interpolation arithmetic, curve contrail programming and servo control are done by computer.This paper introduces the hardware and software design of the motion control card with four parts. The main contents are as following:The first is the hardware of the motion control card. Based on the study on the PCI bus and some important chips, the hardware is designed, including PCI bus interface circuit, encoder collection circuit, D/A output circuit, input and output circuit of switch signal. It has the characteristics of less element, simple structure and low cost.The second is the driver design for the motion control card. It uses Windriver for the driver design, and introduces the driver design step of the motion control card in detail. This method can reduce developing time greatly and improve work efficiency.The third is the realization of motion track. After analyzing the advantage, shortcoming and implement principle of the point-by-point comparing method, beeline interpolation, circle interpolation are realized.The final is output parameter's fuzzy control of the motion control card. This paper has introduced the realization principle, realization process and key technology of fuzzy control arithmetic in detail. And on the base of deep study, an improved control arithmetic is put forward which is simple, convenient and good effect.The motion control card has advantages of simple structure, low cost, good application and so on. If improving this motion control card, it might be widely used in the control field .This paper has finished the base work such as hardware circuit, driver,curve interpolation and fuzzy control of the open motion control card, and has made a good foundation for designing a commercial open control card..
