3D games are the development of large and medium-sized games. It gives a better realistic gaming experience. But it is difficult to design the role of artificial intelligence in three-dimensional games, such as the role automatically detecting the optimal path, avoiding obstacles, or flexibility in the use of a variety of skills in a fighting game, rather than relying on pre-set a good model. Now more and more people use the Virtools as3D game programming engine, but the real advantage of the VSL module to achieve a variety of complex algorithms to enhance the artificial intelligence in games are rarely. In view of this, we use a genetic algorithm simulated the biological evolutionary survival of the fittest in the natural process of evolution in the game, and select the appropriate genetic operators, thereby generating a similar to the optimal solution. The article combined with a Virtools game programming examples, introducing how to use Virtools Dev and Virtools’ VSL modules to achieve the optimal path selection, and the latter is a combination of genetic algorithms to enhance the artificial intelligence in the selection of the optimal path, making the game more realistic, and run more smoothly. The paper is committed to the use of3D games software Virtools Scripting Language VSL to implement the genetic algorithm, genetic algorithm for Virtools,this is an explore to3D games engine.
