Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) is a multipoint optical access network, with a high price, and provide users with reliable data, voice and video services, is widely considered the next-generation broadband optical accessthe best choice of network technology.As one of the five marketing brand of China Telecom, IPTV service is the set of network and television features, in recent years its’development runs into the rapid and stable growth stage. Consequent is a serious challenge to the quality assurance for IPTV video services. The QoS (Quality of Service) technology provides a viable solution for this problem.In the area of Fuzhou Telecom MAN, the comprehensive EPON network construction and EPON access network transformation since later2010. Based on EPON network access, the reliable service quality assurance for IPTV services has become a particularly urgent topic.In this paper, with the analysis of EPON works and QoS technology, then gives a total solution within EPON network to enhance the quality of IPTV service distribution; and more, for the defects of the existing passive operation and maintenance mode, to develop a better IPTV quality indicators system operation and maintenance guidance indicators, and through the deployment of continuous business monitoring platform of IPTV maintenance measures.
