The third generation of mobile communication system will definitely replace the second-generation mobile communication system with its technological advantage. In some developed countries in the world, third generation mobile communication system already replaced second-generation mobile communications systems and was used widely. Comparatively speaking, China’s third-generation mobile communication system is just starting. As one of China’s major3G standards recognized by ITU with independent intellectual property rights in China, TD-SCDMA is still on its initial stage, but the rapid development and commercialization process is accelerating, the industry chain is gradually maturing. Therefore, a high-quality network of TD-SCDMA is the key basis of marketing success.China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network is under large-scale construction, a high-quality3G network is essential in order to copy the success of the2G era in this competitive3G era. TD-SCDMA wireless network optimization is not mature. Therefore, there are many problems with solutions need to be constantly explored.This paper mainly introduces the basic principles and key technologies of TD-SCDMA system; it also describes the methods and processes of TD-SCDMA wireless network optimization. Finally it makes a special study on optimization of TD-SCDMA wireless network coverage. Optimization process and methods of networking coverage will be given by analysis of common problems. Combined with the actual case, it’ll sum up the programs and solutions. Through research on TD-SCDMA wireless network coverage optimization, it helps wireless network optimization engineers make accurate positioning and analysis of such issues so that they can propose right solutions.
