Development Of Auto Test System For TDD-LTE Ue Rrm Conformance

The author is responsible for design and development of TDD-LTE multi-RAT Terminal Radio Resource Management (RRM) conformance test system. This paper is a summary of above work. The author participate the whole system development, including research of standard, development of test method, selection and integration of system hardware components, design and development of system software.The current situation of terminal test is dominated by foreign vendors, including Agilent from USA and R&S from Germany, etc. From2G to3G, these major vendors all own their self-developed conformance test systems, which cost pretty much. So the situation for the terminal manufactures who has spent a lot during investment and are still relatively weak, is severe. On the other hand, those major vendors have no confidence in TDD technology. That’s the reason why we are confident in developing of TDD-LTE multi-RAT Terminal RRM conformance test system.This paper begins with the international TDD-LTE terminal test specifications, expatiates the research and design of a practical TDD-LTE terminal conformance test system. The system can perform qualitative tests and quantitative tests of RRM defined in the specifications.The hardware configuration of this system is with independent intellectual property rights, and the switch unit is self developed. The design idea of software is modularized. The software is composed of5functional modules, which are user interface, test plan, test run, data analysis, and instrument control. The remote control can be utilized by GPIB interface together with SCPI. The paper also specifies the design of the modules, structures and procedures.
