Narrow band-internet of things (NB-IoT) is a new cellular wireless access technology utilizing the existing non-backward compatible E-UTRAN. NB-IoT systems will be deployed in 2017 on a large scale.Radio resource management (RRM) conformance test is an important part of network test of user equipments. This topic originates from the project of NB-IoT RRM conformance test platform of a domestic communications technology company.The thesis completes the goals of development of NB-IoT terminal RRM conformance test platform by researching the technical principles of narrow band physical uplink channels, designing physical layer DSP implementation scheme, compiling codes of main function modules,analyzing reqirements of RRM conformance tests and compiling RRM test cases.Firstly, the thesis elaborates the technical background and application value of the topic. Then the thesis describes the test projects and technique targets of NB-IoT RRM conformance test and the function requirements, software and hardware architecture of the test platform.Secondly, the thesis mainly studies the technology principles of narrow band physical uplink shared channel (NPUSCH) and narrow band physical random access channel (NPRACH). Then the thesis designs the implementation scheme of physical layer DSP main function modules of the test platform.Thirdly, the thesis studies the technology principles of timing advance adjustment accuracy test and intra-frequency radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment test. Then the thesis compiles RRM conformance test cases by reference to the demands of NB-IoT RRM conformance test and the achievement of physical layer DSP module,including initial condition, test procedures, parameter configuration and evaluation index. Then the thesis checks the scheme and analyzes the results.Finally, the thesis summarizes the work and prospects the subsequent work of NB-IoT RRM conformance test platform.
