Development Of Auto Test System For TD-SCDMA UE RF Conformance

The author took part in the research and building up of TD-SCDMA UE RF conformance auto test system. Author completely participated in the building up of auto test system including standards research, test method discussion, hardware integration, and software design.Firstly, the paper introduces related background. Secondly, it analyses and discusses of TD-SCDMA UE RF conformance test standards, in order to conclude the test condition and requirement of all test items of UE transmitter, receiver, performance and HSDPA etc. Thirdly, the author gives out the design and implement of the test system both in hardware and software in details based on the conclusion of analysis.In hardware design, the author explains the selection of test instruments, RF components, and other needed devices, and then gives out a design of hardware connection. The software of the system is divided into user interface, test plan making, test plan execution, test data processing, and instruments controlling five functional modules based on the modularization idea. The software achieves remote operation of the instruments by using GPIB interface function and standard commands for programmable instruments (SCPI). The design, architecture, and processing flow of the main function modules are illustrated in details in the paper.At last, the author sums up the work of building up the TD-SCDMA UE RF conformance test system, and looks forward to the subsequent work in future.
