GSM mobile communication network of rapid development, so that people on the network service quality raised taller requirement, mobile communication key from the network construction enters.the network adjustment and optimization phase. Through systematic network optimization project, can make full use of the existing network equipment, resources and capacity, to maximize the network service quality, improve efficiency.With GSM mobile business users is growing, GSM900M due to limited frequency resources, with the traditional cell splitting, band extends, frequency reuse and ways of expansion, traffic in populated areas due to interference conditions, is still unable to meet the needs of business development. Using GSM900/1800M dual band network is the network capacity and network covering two aspects of needs harmonious is one of the most effective ways. With the increase of the scale of1800M network, is a good solution to network capacity problems, but how to prepare the dual-band network optimization work, make GSM900/1800M dual frequency network to give full play to their own economic benefits, become current radio maintenance and network optimization personnel network optimization focus.This is around the Changde MCC dual-band network optimization project, firstly introduces the network optimization principle and working process, emphasizes the explanation of GSM900/1800M dual frequency network characteristics and optimization principle. On the performance of the antenna, the cell parameters, cover and switching on the dual-band network traffic impact study. Through the analysis of various cases, GSM900/1800M dual frequency network migration and influence. Evaluation of network quality changes before and after the adjustment.After a detailed program design, the designs have been applied to Changde mobile network. In the experimental area, the1800M cell utilization of radio channel is enhanced and the network voice quality have been improved. In the paper, the900M and1800M antenna coverage scheme and cell handover parameter settings, cell layer parameter settings, the use of AMR and TFO have been practical application. According to the experimental results, Adjustment of the antenna can improve coverage but little space in enhance the1800M channel utilization; optimize the handover parameters and re-election parameters is simple, but need long adjustment time; modify the cell layer is the best method to upgrade1800M channel utilization. Finally, open the AMR and TFO capabilities and repeatedly network optimization to reach the objectives of the program design. With the process of program implementation in experimental region, the voice quality has improved, and provided valuable experience for the dual-band optimization of the different scenarios.
