Corrosion is one of the most important reasons which cause short cycle of petrochemical equipment or devices, but will also endanger the safe operation of refinery equipment. However, the management system of corrosion protection in petrochemical enterprises is not perfect. The traditional paper-based data recording is not easy to store, search and share, also, corrosion data scattered in various functional departments and not used effectively. In view of the status of the petrochemical corrosion data management, and the development of computer technology, it is feasible and necessary to establish a petrochemical corrosion data management system based on B/S mode which combined with database technology and Web technology.Based on synthesis and analysis corrosion data of petrochemical enterprises, the contents and characteristics of data were first studied. These data include4classes equipment file information such as towers, containers, process piping, etc. and11categories of corrosion monitoring information such as oil, condensate, the corrosion rate, etc. of19workshops and47sets of equipments in the refineries, ethylene plants, power plants and1,000tons of oil refining. Secondly, the system functional was analyzed and the overall structure was planned. The Windows development environment was chosen, and supported by SQL Server2000database management, object-oriented programming tool as Visual Studio2005was used. In the full analysis and comparison advantages and disadvantages of B/S and C/S model, the system’s B/S architecture was determined. According to database theory, needs analysis, conceptual design, logical design, physical design of the database have completed by steps, the relationship data base table and the main corrosion type table which with determined links have established. The database table with clear logical structure is simple, refined, and high security. Finally, C#as the programming language, process flow diagrams and text dual-mode management of kinds of data has achieved in the front interface, including main functions as data browsing, query, input, review and issuance etc., as well as monitoring data trends, corrosion case database and other modules.As B/S three-tier logical structure is used in the system, the workload of maintenance and upgrade is small, and the client software does not require to development, it greatly reduces development and ongoing maintenance costs, business expansion is also simple and convenient. According to the practical situation, user permissions were divided, users have different identities with interface in purview. More functional modules such as corrosion-related standards browsing, company announcement and monthly view, BBS etc. have been established, which enrichs the petrochemical corrosion management system. It has a good supporting role to corrosion management. As the standard Web interface page, the system is friendly, simple and easy to operate, and based on Internet technology enables large-scale sharing of petrochemical corrosion data.The system is combined Web technology and database technology with petrochemical corrosion data management and the similar software system in the domestic is not yet to come. Moreover, the system is started from the specific management of petrochemical enterprises, with good application value. It will achieve considerable economic benefits, and to play a promoting role in implementation of integrated control of corrosion.
