With the popularity of internet and the development of relevant hardware technology, the wireless sensor network shows more application potentiality, and has been deploying more and more widely in practical application. It was recommended to be one of the best influential technology in21st century. However, the resource of wireless sensor network is limited in energy supply, computing, storing, and wireless communication. At present, the priority of research on wireless sensor network is how to use limited resources to send the sensed information reliably and efficiently to base station for managing. Reliable data transmission is the key problem in the design and application of wireless sensor network, and it determines the multi-hop step route path when the data packets transfer to destination node. Because of the effect of multi-way influence, signal interference, obstruction and nodes’random error etc., the communication link of actual wireless sensor network is very unreliable, and its un-reliability is difficult to predict. To solve the problem of random packet loss during network communicating, a reliable data retransmission scheme based on optimizing are proposed in this paper. The main works include as following;The first. The research background and current situation of wireless sensor network is analytical in detail and the basic characters and main applicable scope of wireless sensor network is introduced.The second. Focuses on introducing the topology structure of wireless sensor network and the classification and influence factor of reliable data transmission, analyzing the current way of data transmission, determining the studying method of this paper, concluding the key problem that is required to solve in this paper, and preparing for next researching.The third.By analyzing the problem of random packet loss during network communicating, propose a reliable transmission solution of optimizing retransmission based on ideal point:Firstly, compute the distance and find the ideal point O between transmission node S and target node T. Then use the ideal point O as the centre of a circle, establish a circular forward zone that the radius is r. The node S retransmits the packet to all nodes in this retransmission zone. But because of random packet loss problem, not only part of these nodes can receive packets correctly. Finally, select the nearest node for the target node among nodes S1...S5as retransmission node to transmit the packet to the nodes of next retransmission zone. Repeating the process described above, the packet will be transmit from node S to node T at last. The reliability of this algorithm has been analyzed through experimental simulation.The fourth.Analyze and research the development of the forestry monitoring technology and the application of the wireless network technology in forestry monitoring. And design the forestry monitoring system based on optimizing retransmission scheme, and the hardware and software of this forestry monitoring system. And verify the feasibility of the system through experiment.Finally, summarize all work in this paper, and point out the further research direction.
