The Research And Application Of Computer English Aided Learning System

New terms about IT are emerging because of the rapid development of computer. Such New IT mostly comes from foreign countries and the technical manuals about how to learn such new IT and how to use its latest development tools, both of which are wrriten in English. SO it’s necessary for people working in IT field to have the ability to read materials that are written in English. If people working in IT field have such ability, they will learn and use such new IT and latest development tools quckily. Thus, today Computer English has become a compulsory course for the students whose major are computer-relevant during their higher education. And the study of the terms is very much emphasized in computer English learning, though the research of the learning of pratical English’s vocabulary has made great achievements, the application of the Computer English Learning System hasn’t become widely used because of its limitness and speciality. Thus, the computer English aided system designed in this paper is to satisfy the demand of the students who want to learn Computer English well and help them to learn it better.The problems lied in recent teaching of Computer English are analysed in this paper so as to create the Computer English aided learning system combined with interested games. Data mining, Memory and forgetting curve are used in this system. IRT(item response theory) and CAT(computer adaptive test) are also used. The characteristics of Computer English are summarized in this paper to analyse the feasibility of this system. So the platform and technology to be used in this system can be selected, the design of the frame of the system and the library of words, exercises, articles can be implemented. The key point is to create the words library. In order to let the learning system be easier to use and test, standardization which contains three stages is used. Finally the design and implement of the learning system are covered in this paper.The Computer English learning aided system is composed of two parts:one is the learning part and the other is testing part. The design of the learning part is combined with games, which make it easier and more interesting for learner to learn, and implement library of words, exercises, articles; the latter part is used to evulate the learner’s learning effect.The market prospect of the learning system being researched in this paper is very favorable. It can be used in other fields of English study just by some modifications because of the generality.
