The wireless sensor network is the one of the rapid development of information sensation technology, and it has been paid more and more attention by many researchers and commercial organizations. The Sensor nodes are deployed in the environment with distributed and large-scale, and the battery carries limited energy, therefore the limited energy of nodes has become the main factors influencing the WSN performance. So a study of energy management strategy in WSN has a positive role to improve the network’s performance. The main part of this dissertation is optimization techniques of energy management strategy in WSN from a single node to the whole network’s energy-balanced consumption. This thesis bases on the clustering of multi-hop routing protocols, and analyzes the characteristics of LEACH, PEGASIS, EMHR and so on. The energy-balanced multi-hop hierarchical routing protocol with dynamic is proposed for reducing the consumption of energy. The protocol adopts the energy efficient strategies by optimizing the high energy node’s cluster-head selection probability, and combines with the node location information to determine the cluster-head coverage. The protocol has obvious superiority in energy-balanced through analysis and simulation. The protocol is simulated in the NS2platforms agreement. The simulation results show that the protocol have the more superior performance of energy-balanced consumption and less energy consumption of network nodes.
