The rapid development of network technology brings about a third generationnetwork which is called grid technology. Grid technology makes full use of the idlenetwork resources.For there are some problems in the existing grid resource discovery models, amutilevel model based on mobile agent to discover grid resource is proposed in thispaper, the model is compartmentalized into three layers including global layer,virtualdomain layer and ordinary node layer. This model can avoid the risk of single point offailure, and reduce routing time and network load.The introduction of Mobile Agent realizes the discovery of resources dynamicallyand independently.It can overcome the defects such as imbalance of network load, thebandwidth between the user and sever is low, slow speed and large delay.Ontology based on web semantic is used to describe the information ofresources.The way of original resource description has some problems, there wouldhave to meet the requested resource was not found.The powerful reasoning characristicof ontology overcomes this problem.Mobile Agent is used to carry on information between nodes and servers. LDAPdirectory technic is adopted to providing information’s access and resource’ attributestorage, the resource by ontology based on web semantic is described, construct thearchitecture of semantic knowledge in order to enhance the intelligence and flexibilityof the grid resource discovery model.The overall framework of model, the working mechanism and the model’sperformance is analyzed in detail.Finally, JADE framework is used to simulate theinteraction of information between the mobile Agent, and by using the GridSim whichis an excellent simulation toolkit to verify the efficiency of this model, and theexperimention result is given.
