Suining City Port Logistics Information Management System Design And Implementation

In this era of knowledge economy, science and technology change with eachpassing day, economy growing rapidly, and the development of logistics has become animportant way to improve enterprise benefits and maintain the competitiveness. Havingadvanced logistics management information system is important to improve the corecompetitiveness of enterprises, and efficient operation of the system must rely on thesupport of modern communications and information technology.The paper, under the support of subject “the study on information management andkey technologies construction of Yuan Cheng Logistics (NO.YC562008study01)”, hasdone the applied research with the combination of the planning and construction ofChinese west logistics port public information platform. This research starts from whatinformation management system of western logistics port is and its characteristics, andanalyses the existing problems in Suining logistics system and put forwardcountermeasures and suggestions for it. The paper, based on Web Service, hasdeveloped Suining Logistics Port information management system by using the relevantinformation and software engineering, such as Management Information System (MIS),WEB, B/S framework, Active Server Page (ASP), SQL Server2008etc. And expectingit is helpful for design and construction of logistics port information managementsystem.The major work completed in this paper include: the standardization of logisticsinformation management system design and implementation steps, discussed the overallsystem design, module design, database design, and framework design; a detailedanalysis of key technical issues in realizing Web Service-based; applying Web Serviceto achieve information inquiries.In China, the planning and construction of logistics public information platform iscurrently in its infancy, lacking of effective logistics information management system inconnecting the regional economy and local logistics public information platform.Research of this issue has a certain reference value in solving the "islands ofinformation" existing in logistics parks around the country and other common problems, and planning and construction of logistics information management system services forthe regional economy development.
