It is imminent to start the informatization of science researchmanagement.Through investigating the current research status quo in China and abroad, basedon the actual conditions of scientific research management in Jiujiang University,according to scientific research management regulations and measures of JiujiangUniversity, scientific research management process are straightened by applyingstructural method and object oriented method, including research unit management,scientific research personnel management, scientific research project management,scientific research achievement management, scientific research awards management,scientific research workload management, report forms management, Web subsystemreports, and so on.Despite the application of Transaction Flow Diagram, data flowchart and E-R diagram, UML will also be used to finish system modeling, classdiagram is used to describe the static model, sequence diagram is applied fordescribing the dynamic model. Transaction Flow Diagram is used in the respects ofscientific research project, achievement and awards management; data flow is analyzedfrom the general to all function modules. Class Diagram is used for research projects,scientific research achievement, scientific research awards, scientific research unitsand researchers. Sequence diagram is applied on user login, scientific research projectapplication, scientific research project concluding report, etc. Following the databasedesign principle, system data model is designed by using UML and class diagram.Reference "education management information standard (the first part: the schoolmanagement information standard)" to carry on the concept structure design and logical structure design, optimize database table structure as far as possible. Softwaredevelops under the C/S and B/S mixed structure, use PowerBuilder development toolsin C/S structure, use Eclipse development tools to do JSP programming in the B/Sstructure under the integration framework of Struts+Spring+Hibernate, then releaseto the Tomcat Web application server, the background is the Oracle11g database.This subject focuses on how to develop scientific research management system,including system requirement analysis, system design, and system implementation.Structured method, widely accepted by developers and users, is used in the systemanalysis phase. Advanced object-oriented technology is used to do system modelingthrough UML in system design stage, which improves the communication amongdevelopers, ensures no ambiguity, avoids mistakes, enhances software productivity,quality, reliability, maintainability and portability.
