After years of construction, meteorological media of our bureau has entered the eraof nonlinear editing workshop from days dominated by character generator. Method ofproducing program has transferred to hard disk non-linear edit from tape linear edit andquality of program has also accordingly improved. To uplift working efficiency andmeet the requirement of standardized, informationized management, compiling asoftware system for current meteorological media (non-edit part) is the urgent priority.Based on analysis of Foshan meteorological media producing process and operational habits,with combining our current working characteristics, this paper is to design a management systemwhich will preinstall computer process applying to auxiliary jobs repetitious, routine andmultitudinous calculation needed. The system provides a series of functions, like drafts upload,materials download, documents filing, materials management, source data automation, programauto-compression uploading, roster arranging and so on. Besides, the system can automatically filedoc materials, which meets demands of meteorological media (non-edit part) automation andefficient, scientific management of data and materials.The system has already been put into practice in our bureau. Application result shows that it hasgreatly reduced drudgery in different operation processes and avoided or lessen man-made mistakes,which enables meteorological media staff to accomplish relative operations in a short time.Compared to manual data processing, working efficiency has been greatly uplifted.
