The Charge Pump accumulates the charge for the charge pump capacitor toincreased voltage. The charge pump in the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) driverintegrated circuit (IC) for the rapid development of LCD technology has laid animportant foundation. However, with the development trend of constantly updating andupgrading of the LCD panel, LCD driver circuit voltage to low voltage, low powerconsumption has become a necessity. But if the supply voltage is low, will have a directimpact on analog MOS switch. Therefore, the design of high-performance, low-powercharge pump to meet the growing liquid crystal display technology has greatsignificance.In conventional charge pump circuits, the design of charge pump need more spaceof chip, and the pumping high voltage is limited by MOS threshold voltage, Often theLCD panel requires a higher voltage to drive, the general idea is to use several chargepumps boosting. At the same time, each level of boost is accompanied by the loss of thethreshold voltage, this caused the highest of the circuit outputvoltage has been limited.After all, this paper first describes the principle of the conventional charge pump,and then give the analysis and results to find the defection of conventional charge pump.Towards those defections proposing a new double rise voltage charge pump, andanalyzes its structure and operational principle. Proving that the new double rise voltagecharge pump as the core circuit have the higher performance.
