Electronic reconnaissance is not only an important way to obtain the enemy’s intelligence, but also the key to win in modern warfare. Its primary mission is to search and intercept the signals emitted by the enemy’s electronic equipment, then process and analyze the signals to get the enemy’s equipment’s various parameters, azimuth information, communication content and other information. However, in the face of increasingly advanced counter-reconnaissance technology, such as the use of frequency hopping (FH) signals, FH reconnaissance system must have more flexibility, faster processing speed, and the function of frequency measurement. Therefore, the FH reconnaissance system based on FPGA+DSP architecture becomes the preferred solution.This article has built a FH reconnaissance experimental system platform based on FPGA+DSP architecture, focuses on the design of host interface and the various components in the system, moreover, completed the design and realization of the entire experimental system. The main work is as follows:1. The key technologies in FH reconnaissance system are studied, including: sampling technique, digital-down-conversion, fast frequency measuring and efficiency evaluation theory. The efficient structure of hardware implementation and the index system of reconnaissance system are given.2. The host interface is designed, which is essential for FH reconnaissance system, including PCI interface and USB2.0interface, and realized the communication between host and experimental board through the design of driver, firmware, applications and FPGA, but also analyzed their performance, moreover, listed the advantages and disadvantages of the two interfaces.3. Built a FH reconnaissance system experimental platform based on FPGA+DSP architecture, focus on the research of the means of communication among FPGA, DSP and SDRAM, and completed the duplex communication among them through FPGA and DSP programming. In the end, analyzed their performance, and made the system can work normally. 4. Designed the FH reconnaissance experimental system, including the generation, receiving and processing of FH signal, validated this FH reconnaissance experimental system based on FPGA+DSP architecture be able to complete the reconnaissance mission, and tested the performance of this system.This article verified the correctness of the implementation through simulation, and gave the descriptions and timing diagrams of design. Some conclusions obtained during the debugging have great practical value to the FH reconnaissance system based on FPGA+DSP architecture.
