Cable is an important part of the power system, power cables are a large numberdistributed at various locations in the city. Due to the cable is often placedunderground, the potential defects in aging and difficult to detect. As the running timeincreases, the cable connector could cause an explosion and an accident. Power cableline temperature monitoring system could real-time monitor cable operating conditions,if in the early day of accident happening to predict the temperature monitoring and totake prompt measures, can effectively prevent such accidents and reduce economiclosses. In this paper, based on analysis of domestic and international used power cabletemperature monitoring methods and analysis and comparison of thermal effectthrough the study, point-and-wire and fiber grating temperature sensing technology,wireless GPRS/GSM, and ZigBee wireless sensor network data transmissiontechnology, integrated out of power cable line temperature monitoring of the program.The main contents are as follows:First, for the ZigBee wireless sensor network technology to do a brief introduction,describes the steady state heat equation and the equivalent of the cable thermal circuitand the cable body resistance, dielectric loss, loss of the metal sheath formula, andbased on the equivalent thermal circuit cable when in steady state and transienttemperature calculation method to focus on real-time analysis of the cable outer sheathaccording to the measured temperature and current real-time algorithm for thecalculation of conductor temperature in real time.Then, analysis the characteristics of digital temperature sensor DS18B20andresearch the current popular "one line bus line" strengths. On the basis of the actualsituation, study the cable sheath temperature signal acquisition and wirelesstransmission systems, product data collection terminal.Finally, do a summary and outlook for the design and implementation of thesystem.
