With the development of information age,the online marking is replacing thetraditional one gradually. But because of the expensive price and only using for nationalgrade such as college entrance examination, the online marking didn’t popularize in thecommon education institutions and examination organizations. And the dimensions ofpapers are restricted due to using of normal high-speed scanner; therefore the efficiencyof marking is lower. A kind of universal online marking software, which based onoptical wide coverage high-speed scanner, is designed and programmed in thisdissertation.Based on the software requirements, the structure of the software has beendesigned for the part of management and the part of marking scores. The main functionsof the former part are reading the data of image from the optical wide coveragehigh-speed scanner, uploading and assigning the examination papers, checking thescores and managing the accounts; and the main functions of the latter part aredisplaying the examination papers and uploading the scores.In this dissertation, VS2008which is a part of.NET is used as developmentplatform, C#is used as ADL, C/S network structure is applied and SQL Server is thedatabase. The research emphases comprise these below: the database structure and datatype are designed; HDK applied by CIS manufacturer is recomposed to reading imagedata; the GUI widgets of IDE are applied for marking exam papers and displaying theinformation; the classes and functions of SqlClient namespace are invoked for buildingthe connection with the database and controlling it; the classes and functions of Imagenamespace are invoked for processing the data of image; the SQL such as DDL,DMLare used for conducting the actions of the database; foundational related functions suchas memory management, multi-threaded design and data invoke are realized as aapplication software.The software has been published successfully, and it has been tested on the LAN.The conclusion demonstrates the software can realize the functions designed on the system platforms Windows XP/Vista/7. The software can be an application example ofoptical wide coverage high-speed scanner.To our knowledge, the mentioned above, such as based on optical wide coveragehigh-speed scanner in online marking system, database structure design for thefunctions of online marking, programming with C#, haven’t been reported in theChinese literatures on online marking system.
