In recent years, with rapid development of the higher vocational education, it hastrained a large number of applied talents for China’s economic construction. Highervocational education systems are also in the stage of innovation and reform. How tofully absorb the advanced mode of education at home and abroad, combine with theinstitutions of higher vocational school characteristics and gradually explore theconstruction of higher vocational education system with Chinese characteristics are keyissues related to the development of vocational education. In this thesis, based on JiangXi College of Foreign Studies, according to the advanced credit system, combining withthe characteristics of the school of higher vocational institutions, a general coursescheduling and elective system (CSES) is built for credit system management. TheCSES is built based on credit system and elective system which can mobilize theenthusiasm of teacher and student. It strengthens the interaction between teaching andstudding and Encourage teachers to update their knowledge to improve the quantity ofteaching and attracting more students. More students are able to enjoy the benefits ofelective course and can free arrange their learning. Then, it can full play to the students’subjective initiative.There are10,000students in Jiang Xi College of Foreign Studies. Itwill be much work needed to do when adopt the credit system management, so it mustdeign an efficient, safe and stable course scheduling and elective system.This thesis describes the analysis, design, and Implementation of course schedulingand elective system for Jiang Xi College of Foreign Studies in detail. In this thesis,mature technologies have been adopted. The client/server system architecture areadopted by CSES. SQL Server2000is chosen as database monument system andPowerBuilder9.0is chosen as database front-end development tools. The study in thisthesis makes a deliberate exploration for higher vocational education’s credit educationmanagement.
