With the social development and technological progress, the applications of service robots get more attention than ever before. As the combination of information, intelligence, understanding and decision-making control, the intelligent space is a complex system. Service robot intelligent space, which is the integration of intelligent space and service robot, was proposed to extend the capability of service robot for perception and decision-making. Moreover, service robot enhances the functionality of intelligent space for information perception and service tasks execution.This subject originates from a National High Technology Research and Development Program named Intelligent Space Technology and Robot Inspection System for Patients Wards Inspection. Based on the hospital wards inspection, a hospital wards inspection system for robot based on intelligent space is established in this program. As an important part of intelligent space, communication network is a bridge of the variety of data and control commands between the ward patrol robot with hospitals intelligent space. Positioning technology would not only provide location information, for the robot path planning, mission execution, and provide reference information for the hospital intelligent spatial decision-making task scheduling and management. This thesis studies the heterogeneous network structures and location in the hospital intelligent space. The main contributions of this thesis are shown as follows:Firstly, the thesis presents a heterogeneous network model of intelligent hospital space. Through selection and analysis the wireless network equipment, put forward the WLAN design decision and describe the specific implementation of the WLAN network based on Wi-Fi technology. Then, design the ZigBee nodes and the communication circuit board, introduce the WSAN network based on ZigBee technology. Finally, build a communication performance test of hospital, and analyse the network function by means of a case of human behavior to understand.Secondly, based on the WSAN network, the thesis analyse the basic principles of ZigBee position system, introduce the command clusters of the positioning system based on Z-Stack protocol stack and the message format of command clusters. Then, design the ZigBee software and computer software. Through empirical evidence, verify the feasibility of ZigBee location system.Thirdly, to the question of ZigBee positioning of low instability, small range, low precision, the paper analyse the principles of global position system, introduce the protocol of National Electrical Manufacturers Association0183, and choice the Wi-Fi network as the data chain. Then, select the equipment and coordinate system. Kalman filter algorithm is used to estimate the moving target position, with the purpose of increasing positioning accuracy. Based on that, design the computer software and monitoring software. Finally, A large number of experiments show that DGPS positioning system based on the heterogeneous network in the intelligent hospital space can fully meet the project specifications.
