Since the20th Century, with the rapid development of science, technology and the media, the combination of art and new media such as network, digital TV, mobile phone and other digital medias makes traditional paintings be divorce from newspaper, magazine, television and other analogue mass medias, and reach all-round, deep-seated change of traditional painting communication.The full text is divided into four parts.The first chapter briefly discusses the present research situation, the research ideas and the methods of traditional painting art communication, and makes a distinction between the traditional painting art and digital art from the creation means, cultural value, modes of transmission. At the same time, according to the existing theory, it defines the concept of new media, analysis the unique natures of new media information dissemination.The second chapter discusses the motivation of new media communication forms of traditional painting art. The reason why painting has communication function, the first, is that painting is a kind of dissemination medium and symbol carrying information and spreading information. Secondly, the recipients point, intrinsic aesthetic calls and re-creation in appreciation are also important factors that propel paintings spread. Furthermore, the satisfaction of material needs, and spiritual growth in demand result in culture products are regard than ever before. In the isolated background of art production and art consumption, paintings communication has become an inevitable trend.The third chapter discusses the types and methods of new media communication. From the angle of microscopic, the traditional painting communication mainly refers to the flow of information within people in the creation or appreciation phase. From a macro point of view, traditional painting communication is a process that the painting pass to the audience through certain media. This article selects the painting art website, virtual museum, painting art podcast, digital TV as samples, and specifically describe the mode of communication of traditional painting art by actual cases. The fourth chapter discusses the effects of traditional painting art. New media create a unique appearance through integration and substitution of traditional media, which change the real information carrier to virtual transmission of pictures or video. Secondly, in the new media, art audience is not a pure recipient, but have a double identity, and achieve the change from passive to active. Furthermore, digitalization and virtualization of the new media make the traditional Chinese painting art possess the unlimited dissemination space and open communication system, which truly achieve global communication of the painting art.
