The projection weapon is very important for its damage and pressing force in modern warfare. Target hitting rate is the most crucial problem, so it is necessary to get the position of impact area. To get this position accurately and timely, then it is possible to revise projection process and improve projection level. A artificial measurement method always used for getting the position of impact area, but its high cost and low precision make it a poor practical value.Explosion in the shells will result in the propagation of seismic waves in the formation underground, this is similar to the principle of artificial earthquake. Set up multiple sensors around the explosion, receiving the seismic signal, the information carried by the received signal can be calculated to infer the point of explosion, in order to achieve the positioning of the point of impact. In this paper, a new detection method is proposed to get the position of impact area based on seismic wave detection. First, some seismic wave theory is introduced and Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) accelerometer sensors used in this system is explained. Then, a design of the whole system structure is proposed. The data obtained from a series of grating sensors is processed by Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) and Digital Signal Processor (DSP). With wireless communication network, this processed data is delivered to Principal Computer (PC). Final, the position of impact area could be calculated via an available algorithm selected by PC. This proposed system has been implemented by software, and two precise position of impact areas have been gain.
