Manchu Archives refer to the archives written by Manchu language or Manchu language with other languages that reflects the Qing and pre-Qing Dynasty’s politics, economics, military affairs, history, calendar, literature and art, religion, customs and other aspects, which are the the original records of great conservation value. It is a true reflection of social conditions in Qing and pre-Qing Dynasty and they are our precious national heritage, which is rich in historical and cultural resources, knowledge and information resources and religious resources.They are outstanding national cultural heritage that our ancestors left us.The digitization of Manchu Archives means using some tools and technologies to inport a variety of Manchu Archives information to the computers, arranging the Manchu Archives information, and then establishing the specific databases of Manchu Archives. The development and utilization of Manchu Archives refers to the use and services of providing Manchu Archives in various ways on the basis of arranging the Manchu Archives information,which can share and disseminate the Manchu Archives information. Make a study of the digitization, developping and use of Manchu Archives are of great value to protect the minority archives and disseminate our traditional culture.This thesis tries to discuss two problems:one is to introduce the Manchu Archives, and make people understand them;secend, I will make a study of the measures and methods of the digitization of Manchu Archives;Third,I will research on the developping and use of Manchu Archives.Based on the above purposes, in chapter one this thesis firstly summarizes the basic situation of the digitization,developping and use of Manchu Archives.And then introduces the research significance, innovations and shortages, methods.In chapter two this thesis will introduces the creation and formation, characteristics,function of and distribution of Manchu Archives.which lays a foundation for the following analysis and study. In chapter three and four I will research on the sigificance, principle, obstacles,problems,specific measures, procedures and methods.In chapter five this thesis will research on the ways, problems and measures of the developping and use of Manchu Archives.This paper attempts to make a study of the digitization, developping and use of Manchu Archives in depth, so that we can better understand our precious heritage—Manchu Archives,and provide some revelations and references.
