Design And Implementation Of Remote Control System Of IControl

With the rapid development of information technology and FTTx,home becomes thecenter of the information society again and has an important position which determines digitalfamily to be an important part of the information society. In this context, Alcatel-Lucentbuilds a digital home center system named iControl which targets high-end users. The coreconcept of Digital home is interconnection and interactive, but remote controller commonlyused based on bluetooth or infrared can realize simple operation control only, fail to achievehigh levels of interaction.The author designed and implementationed a multi function remote control system onthe iOS mobile terminal, in order to meet the demand the user can use navigation control tocontrol the service system at close range, use remote control of the desktop and stream mediasharing at distance range, completed the interactive function between iOS mobile terminaland service system, provided users a friendly experience.Navigation control based on open-source media center software Boxee communicationprotocol.There are a lot of remote control system now, but most system are interactionsbetween PC. The author analyzed and compared the protocol of existing remote controlsystem,finally used the RFB protocol as the based protocol of remote control, selected VNCas the prototype of the system and made some modifications on VNC client according to thecharacteristics of intelligent terminal. The author used Apple’s Http Live Streaming to realizethe multimedia transmission.This paper description a complete project development cycle from the survey, design,implementation to test. The realization of iControl remote control device can fulfill theinteraction between terminal and service system. The experimental results indicate that thesystem can fulfill the demands of the project and the improvement of the system applicationalso received good results. The entire system has high practical value.
