Reserch And Implement Of Dynamic Adaptive Streaming Technology

In recent years,with the rapid development of Internet technology,more and more people tend to get information in the network,which is the most common multimedia video streaming service.The traditional media streaming technology can not meet the growing demand of the people because of its limitations.In this case,the dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP technology(DASH)arises at the historic moment.At present,the domestic related DASH program is relatively small,so it is necessary for the research of DASH.In this paper,the following work is done on the basis of reading and analysing of Microsoft Smooth Streaming,Apple HTTP Live Streaming,Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming protocol and PPwireless system:firstly,the paper introduces the basic principle and development of media streaming technology,and deeply studies the existing DASH technology in the world,including media streaming transmission,audio and video package format,container format and so on;secondly,on the basis of reading and understanding of VLC source code to modify and recompile the source code,so that it can achieve a dynamic rate adaptive function;finally,a dynamic adaptive streaming media transmission system based on HLS is built,which includes server,media source and client.The client is implemented and tested with a newly compiled VLC player.The experimental results show that the system has good function in the adaptive rate selection.
