Zou Tao-fen is a famous news activist in China and he is also an excellent editor, reporter as well as publisher, who plays an important role in the history of Chinese journalism. In1926, he took over "Life Weekly" and from then on engaged in the press and publishing for almost20years. During this time, Zou Tao-fen established and hosted a variety of journals that provided service for the public, so he made great contribution for the promotion of mass culture and national liberation. In his lifetime, he took charge of "six journals and one newspaper". Here, one newspaper referred to "News Daily", established by Zou in Hong Kong on June7th1936. This newspaper went through rough. Unfortunately, it only existed for55days. Nevertheless, from this newspaper, a core news thought that Zou values reader’s interest can be perceived.Taking Zou Tao-fen’s "Life Daily" as the research subject, this thesis has a thorough analysis of it by the means of content analysis so that the news thought that Zou values reader’s interest can be specifically presented. The study shows that Zou’s news thought runs through daily management, content, special column, advertising operation of "Life Daily". Furthermore, through the study on the newspaper and combining with the background of that time and media environment, this thesis concludes journalists’ cognitions and performances in the aspect of readers’ rights in news circle in the1930s so as to highlight the significant value and historical significance of Zou’s news thought. In addition, in combination with the current media development, Zou Tao-fen’s news thought that he attaches great importance to readers and serves the reader wholeheartedly has proved to be constructive.
