Nowadays, with the universal application of computers, graphics processing softwarehave been widely used in the petroleum industry, and graphics processing software appearsaiming at different performance or demands. These graphics processing software whichusually does not supply interfaces for each other, makes it difficult for them to exchange datadirectly and it costs much to convert graphics software data format. Even some graphicssoftware is equipped with conversion function, it designs data model for specific applicationpurpose according to personal understanding of software. Now different graphics processingsoftware is a self-contained system, which makes this field in sectional order but disorder inthe whole.In order to solve the above problems, through research on the current graphics dataconversion mode, this thesis proposes a heterogeneous graphics data format conversion modelbased on object-oriented technology (HGCBOOT). This model consists five sections as factbase, concept base, coefficient solution system, graphics conversion regulation base andprocess controlling system.Fact base is a database which stores various kinds of fact, data and status onHeterogeneous Graphics Conversion. Concept base is a database which stores various basicmetafile of graphics format, which defines a type of unified symbol so that it can be used torepresent the finite graphics symbol set. Coefficient solution system implements theconfirmation for the basic elements of target graphics, according to the linear principle ofvector set and solution method of linear equations set. This thesis employs object-orientedknowledge representation method to assure the structure of graphics conversion regulation.Based on the features of this method, this model puts the inference procedure into theregulation base, and implements the procedure of heterogeneous graphics conversion via theinformation transmission mechanism between instance objects and their inside. The processcontrolling system is a set of procedures to control the conversion process, which controls therunning of graphics conversion. Source graphics store their own actual information into factbase through the process control system. Coefficient solution system confirms graphicelements of target graphics, and then stores them into concept base. Process control systemgets out the information from concept base and fact base, matches the graphics conversionrule in rules base, gets successful matching objects and the operation sequence set of theseobjects, makes these operations act on those objects acquired, gets target graphics, andoutputs conversion results.Finally, this thesis employs artificial acquisition method to access heterogeneousgraphics conversion regulation and also implements the conversion between oil field graphicssoftware DoubleFox and AutoCAD data formats based on the HGCBOOT model.
