Technology Of Data Format Conversion In Tools Integration

The establishment of the Distributed Collaborative Development Environment is an important approach to make the design and development more efficient and realize the interaction and data sharing between tools. The tools integrated in the environment are either software products or those developed by costumers themselves, to make them cooperate with each other seamlessly and the result generated by them interact at time or be shared freely, some effective data accessing protocol should be provided.The purpose of data format conversion is to access data without using the capacity of related tools in the environment, which facilitate the interaction of tools used in the same design process. Aiming at the data format conversion of semi-structural plain text files,a universal method is presented in this paper: First, to break syntax away from the semantic, we describe the syntax of the file, which is the storage rules of the structural tag and the semantic tag, by the Boost Spirit technology, draw useful data out from the source file according to these rules and store them into an XML file as a medium. Then, according to some converting rules built by either designers or costumers, we can convert the intermediate format into an appointed format successfully.
