The power information acquisition system information collection system is an important part of the smart grid and provides important data support for the grid companies marketing modcrn. The concentrator collects the data of each acquisition or energy meter, and processes and storages, and achieves data exchange with the main station or the handheld devices, which plays an important role in The power information acquisition system.It is a pressing problem for the concentrator that how to improve the data processing capacity of the electricity user power information acquisition system and how to complete the communication task quickly and effectively.Based on the demand of the electricity user power information acquisition system, this paper took the McWiLL wireless broadband communications technology into the design of power information collected concentrator, and proposed a new type design of wireless broadband concentrator based on the McWiLL technology. The concentrator design involved the hardware and software development of embedded systems, in the design process of the concentrator, system hardware and software were designed by modular design concept, which made the debugging and maintenance of the concentrator easier.With IMEM170as the basis for the concentrator and with the power module, control module, AC sampling module as the basic module, this paper developed and designed the hardware platform, and integrated McWiLL, RS-485and other means of communication, which increased the flexibility of concentrator, the software system of the concentrator used a hierarchical, modular design concept, from the bottom layer hardware drivers to the middle-tier application interface layer, and then to the third tier business application layer, the software design used a modular design concept, each of which modules was dependent, benifiting software’portability and changes, easy to concentrators’maintenance and upgrades.
