With the development of the communications network and business, the traditional TDM show low transmission efficiency, insufficient bandwidth, and so on.Packet transport network based on T-MPLS(TransportMPLS)technology has solved the problem well. T-MPLS is a connection-oriented packet transport technology, in transport network, customers’ signal will be mapped into the MPLS frame and use MPLS mechanism (such as label switching, label stack) to forward, while it increases basic functions in transport layer. Generally speaking, T-MPLS choose characteristics which are good todata service transmission in the MPLS system, abandon IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) defined for MPLS complicated control protocol, simplifies the data plane, removes the unnecessary forwarding processing.Packet transport technology is T-MPLS from theory to practical use, especially in light of the network core network PTN technology has been widely applied. With the development of optical network, because PTN supports multiple packet transmission and has a complete QoS and OAM function, PTN technology is bound to become the mainstream of the future transmission technologies.The first chapter of this paper introduces technology development and research status of the T-MPLS and packet transport network at home and abroad, and topology discovery technology and the main work of the thesis; the second chapter the author studies several topology discovery methods, and analyses each method’s advantages and disadvantages, based on PTN network designs two kinds of PTN network topology discovery schemes, and they are tested in the actual network environment on the topology discovery speed and topology integrity; the third chapter studies the PTN network routing discovery technologies, puts forward the management system of PTN network routing discovery module, the traditional routing algorithm is improved;finally combined with the practice,use PTN network management system network topology developed by Wuhan NEC to do a test in real PTN equipment, verification of the key role of the OSPF routing protocol in network topology discovery.
