Most grid structures not only are public facilities,but also are landmark buildings of citys. They are related to national economy and people’s lives. However,they will collapse because of increaseing service time,their own loads and environmental effects. It is important to have health monitoring system for grid structures. But now the research of health monitoring system for roof grid structure can be improve in economy, accuracy and reliability. Thus, the research on health monitoring system for roof grid structure will bring more theoretical significance and practical engineering value.Based on the enterprise cooperative project, this paper takes a natatorium in Wuhan as a research object and do some researches on overall design and function, data acquisition and some related data analysis as follows:Considering the existing technology, the health monitoring system for roof grid structure of natatorium is generally designed by two ways:hardware and software. Firstly, Key numbers of roof grid structure of natatorium are choosed through ANSYS finite element software and Structural system reliability theory. Hardware equipments are Selected in accurate, economic and reliable, mainly including sensor, strain acquisition equipment and wireless transmission equipment. Then Lab Windows/CVI are chosen as the software development platform, health monitoring system is detailly designed based on virtual instrument, in order to monitor the health of roof grid structure of natatorium during the constructing and servicing period. Various types of on-site physical signals are mainly acquired by Serial collection and wireless acquisition. This health monitoring system have functions such as data preprocessing, display, data storage, history search and so on.Finally, acquired datas from senors are be analysised, The main filtering method is digital filtering technique. Based on digital filter design principles, Butterworth lowpass filter is designed and applied in the project.
