In recent years, along with the extensive application of the computer, invoke the other each technique field to develop rapidly. Finite Element Method (FEM) is a modern computational technique to develop rapidly with the development of the computer, FEM can process numerical simulation analysis using computer, it is applied extensively in engineering field, the result of FEM analysis provided reliable data for the design and capability analysis of various industry product. ANSYS is one of the most international famous software. The customers of ANSYS come from machine, aviation , energy sources, traffic, construction, water conservancy, electronics, ground mineral, biology medicine, teaching study fields etc., ANSYS is the main analysis program which is used in these fields to proceed exchanges of the international domestic analysis and the technique design. At the point of the engineering application, it includes the construction static analysis, construction dynamic analysis, flexuosity analysis, and thermal analysis etc. The contact element analysis of ANSYS is exactly a kind of high nonlinear analysis. As the contact problem is a kind of high nonlinear behavior, it needs great computational resources. In order to compute effectively, it is important to comprehend the characteristic of the problem and establish the reasonable model. Only the frame or the component is constrained completely can the problem be solved. Therefore, it is need to simplify the contact surface of the components by the application of the boundary force and displacement instead of the interaction with others when we encounter the contact problem which includes several components. But in most situations, this simplification gives more calculation errors when it is compared with the fact. To avid this computational error, it comes forth finite contact elements analysis method. The method is combination of FEM and the theory of contact mechanics. The contact element analysis of ANSYS is a kind of FEM contact analysis. In this paper, firstly it introduced the scope that is involved in this study subject briefly. It also presented the relationship of the basic theory of contact elements analysis and FEM method, the analysis character of contact elements in ANSYS and several common problems when we proceed the contact analysis.Chapter Two is based on the theory of 《Elasticity Mechanics》, and introduced the theory of contact elements in detail. The formulation for the contact force between two spheres and the stress and displacement which is caused because of the contact force is also derived. The calculation method of the contact of sphere and plane, sphere and tee is given .At the same time, the formulation for the force distribution of the contact surface is established on the discussion of two arbitary elastomer's contact. The main aim of Chapter There is to introduce the use of contact elements in ANSYS, the basic knowledge and typical analysis steps of FEM. It also introduced the software of ANSYS briefly, but the emphasis of this chapter is to present how to analyze problems by application of contact elements with ANSYS. Contact problems fall into two general class: rigid-to-flexible and flexible-to- flexible. To model a contact problem, you first identify the parts to be analyzed for their possible interaction. If one of the interactions is at a point, the corresponding component of your model is a node. If one of the interactions is at a surface, the corresponding component of your model is an element. The finite element model recognize possible contact pairs by the presence of specific contact elements. These contact elements are overlaid on the parts of model that are being analyzed for interaction. Contact elements in ANSYS include node-to-node elements, node-to surface elements and surface-to-surface elements. The analysis method and steps of these three contact elements are introduced in this paper. Chapter four discussed the application of the contact problem analysis in detail. Stress changes when the spr...
