The Applied Research On The Integrated Business Intelligence And QSMES Technology Employed By Chinese Medicine Enterprises

With the rapid economy development, the informationization level of enterprises in China has been enhanced incessantly, thereby the manufacture, operation and other data accumulated in business actions has increased greatly. In order to maintain their competence in the market, enterprises aspire to convert these data to effective information with the help of some advanced technology or other methods so as to serve the management decision-making in an accurate way. Coincidently, BI is the best choice for the enterprises to realize all the goals mentioned above. In industries such as financial services (banks, insurance companies), Telecommunication Industry and retail trade, with the high data concentration, abundant capital, and the earlier informationization started, BI technology has been widely applied. While BI illustrated its remarkable effect, it had been perfecting itself and becoming mature. As for the manufacture industries, especially the traditional Chinese medicine manufacture industry, nevertheless, BI has seldomly been utilized proficiently, the informationization of TCM enterprises started late, the level is low and differs greatly from one enterprise to another after all. It has accumulated a great amount of data in the TCM manufacturing process, which contained quantities of valuable experience and knowledge that can be mined out to convert the traditional experiential composition and auxiliary materials and operating procedures to the scientific ones. Therefore, it will propel the improvement and stabilization of the quality of TCM so as to increase their comprehensive competitive capacity.With the goal of improving and stabilizing the quality of the TCM and the mainline of raw material analysis, auxiliary material design and operating procedures data analysis, this thesis paper puts forward a BI system establishing scheme suitable for the QSMES based on the feature s of the QSMES and the analysis of the BI framework and the relevant critical technologies. At the same time, it explains the constructing processes of the BI system suitable for the QSMES according to the practical business requirements.In the thesis paper, the relevant theories and critical technologies of the BI are introduced in the first place, including the data warehouse technology, ETL technology, OLAP technology and the data mining technology. Thereafter, the QSMES project and its system framework of a TCM company are analyzed. With the Microsoft SQL Server2005, the application of the BI system to the QSMES is presented. In the business demand part, the raw medicine, the auxiliary composition of the TCM manufacture and the standard operating procedures of the TCM are detailed. In the chapter of logic design and physical design, the main dimension models established in the data warehouse, including the dimensions and fact tables are explicated.
