The Design And Application Of Resource Management System Of Laboratory Website Based On CMS

Today, Internet technology is used widely by enterprises, institutions, school, government or individuals as tool to release and manage information. The website construction of the universities is to take the forefront in the community. In order to strengthen communication, introduce results and control progress of the project, the laboratory of the universities urgently needs to make use of the internet to release information, manage projects, assets and funds.In past several years, the open content management system is booming. Not only it helps to rapidly build the platform of releasing the information, but also it manage and integrate the contents and resource of the website. On this background the Center of the IntelliSense and Innovative Applications of BUPT plan to make use of the open frame based on CMS to build the website. The research and application of the laboratory website based on CMS will have a window to show, integrate the resource of the laboratory, and give strong support on teaching management in the university.The author independently completes the project of establishing the website on CMS. The main tasks of the research as follow:1. The relative technology and theory are researched. The several popular open content management systems are compared with.2. According to requirement analysis, the system is divided into eight parts, these parts include access management, assets management, the show of the results management, weekly report management, documents management, forum management, contract us etc. the author is responsible for the design and implement of the seven parts except for assets management.3. The system and modules are designed to confirm how to implement.4. According to the conditions and requirements of the laboratory, the drupal is selected to build the website. The contributed modules are used in CMS as much as possible that it reduce the workload of the module development. Users can be easy to release the contents without helping. The three levels of the workflow are designed to complete the reviews of weekly reports.5. In order to fulfill the requirements and designs, the test cases are designed and use to find whether the websites reach the goals or not.In the several months, the portal of the Center of IntelliSense and Innovative Applications of BUPT has been built initially. It is confirmed to meet the needs.
