Design And Implementation Of Teacher And Student Interaction Platform Based On Drupal

With the thorough development of national informationization work, the rapid development of higher education, campus network construction has become the key of informatization of education system. According to the needs of running colleges, the enrollment of college has expanded,at the same time, so does construction. Many colleges exist the fact that it is running in different places. Running a college in two places could expand the students’ registration, improve the teaching hardware facilities, however, pull away the distance between teachers and students. The exchange between teachers and student has decreased gradually.It affects teachers’ question-answering and understanding the teaching effect. Therefore,there is necessity and urgency to developing teacher-student interaction platform.The design is based on the background of the actual needs of XX university.It is starting from requirements analysis, defining a clear needs of platform development, analyzing the feasibility of establishing teachers and students an interactive platform and the different needs of different users, excuting reasonable access control, and designing the overall framework of this platform. According to analyzing the basic functions of platform,and then comparing with the popular used open source CMS on functionality and usage scenarios, we determine to use the powerful features of Drupal framework ultimately. On the basis of the principles of modularity and theming of Drupal,we have achieved the desiring function module design and controlling the display style of browser template design,develop and implement the interactive platform for teachers and students. Platform uses B / S network structure, tests on the virtual environment, achieves an on-line operation as scheduled. Finally,the platform’s core functions can be strengthened and improved based on commissioning.This platform mainly realizes these functions:information releasing, teacher-student image displaying, the interaction between teachers and students forum and etc. Through the platform constructing, the communication channels between teacher and student have been smoothing,the exchange of teachers and students’ interaction has became frequently. By applying the advantage of Internet, the platform offsets the shortage of communication between teachers and students who work in deferent place. At the same time,the construction of interactive platform,can increase the academic communication and share teaching resources, improve teaching efficiency and effect. When interactive platform for teachersand students starts commisioning, we can see that, the number of users and active degree is increasing.The interactive platform has already provided a safe and reliable, abundant-resources, convenient and efficient way for communication between teachers and students.Of course, there are more perfect idea in the initial design of the author. In the process of practice,limiting by technical level, there are some powerful function not be implemented; as the development environment and runtime environment limits, the robustness and stability of the platform is to be further mined. Researching of Drupal technology will be continued.We will improve level of the PHP language coding, strive for more in-depth cooperation with college, to provide more stable performance and abundant function interaction platform for teachers and students.
