Abstract/Summary:
Currently models based on SNMP network management are being used by most network management systems. But due to the different methods of management, such as a third-party network management system that supports SNMP, Web browser, the command line terminal using Telnet, it’s need to provide a common management platform for different manager, and get the same result which responses for various request methods.Based on the WLAN (Wireless Local Area Networks) devices of a communication equipment manufacturer, this article analyses and designs the inquiry module for jamming devices information in the subsystem of spectrum analysis. There are all kinds of RF (radio frequency) signals, from such as Bluetooth, microwave ovens, FH (frequency hopping) cordless phone, appeared in WLAN environment whose spectrums are on the same channel with WLAN signal, which leads to serious damage for WLAN communication quality. By the system component CMP (Configuration and Management the Platform), the module responds to the request from SNMP and Web access to jamming devices information, which is collected by hardware drivers. In this way, network managers can quickly and intuitively understand the co-channel interference sources in the current WLAN environment, so as to make the appropriate measures to improve the quality of the channel, such as:change this working channel to avoid the interference, and select the channel in optimal quality again; find the co-channel interference source location, then change its frequency spectrum or turn off it.This article first introduces the background of the WLAN spectrum analysis project, and compares the two architectures to achieve common network management platform; then introduces the WLAN terminology, protocols, and network components, and gives an overview of the SNMP network management technology and XML technologies related in the network management system; after that, highlights the analysis, design and implementation of inquiry module of jamming devices information in the spectrum subsystem in two access ways of SNMP and Web; finally, use unit testing and system testing to verify the query results.
