This came into being intelligent optical network.According to the original Jiujiang Unicom transmission network problems, especially the western10G loop covering5counties, the cable span500kilometers, are laid overhead, appear every year many cable multiple simultaneous disruption caused by paralysis of business area, to the company network security into great influence, at the same time the original Unicom network design main consideration support mobile communication narrowband, capacity is low, and the service form is one of old, cannot effectively carrying data multimedia full business, to the company’s business development has brought adverse effects, in order to solve the problems, we introduce the technology of intelligent optical network, from the performance and function of the original network transformation, has had the ideal effect.This article is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction part, mainly on the research background, research content and research organization structure are described; the second chapter of the transmission related technical details, including SDH, WDM and ASON; the third chapter of Jiujiang Unicom local transmission network application of ASON technology in concrete design scheme; fourth chapter ASON engineering practice, the third chapter of the design implementation of the deployment, the existing network to renovate the building, to achieve the ASON network operation; the fifth chapter testing and optimization, through the functional and performance testing, validation of the ASON network construction expected. According to the test results and the new ASON network by the problems of Jiujiang local transmission network to improve train of the thought.
