Research On IP RAN Technology And Its Applications In Nanchang Telecom Bearer Network Construction

Tradional bearer network has been met many disadvanteges such as poor service scalability, less traffic statistical multiplexing, and low bearing efficiency due to the rapid development of 3G basestation traffic increasement and the introduction of LTE. IP RAN has many merits including better bearing efficiency, supporting point-to-multipoint communication, good scalabilty, which makes it one of the best choices for future bearer networks. This thesis presents a comprehensive research on IP RAN technology and its application in Nanchang Telecom.General bearer network technologies are introduced in this thesis, firstly. Then the principles and key techniques of IP RAN are analyzed in detail, followed with the networking strategy of IP RAN, i.e. networking requirements, routing organization, service bearer plan, basestation service provisioning, and optical cable demands, etc. Finally, a specific IP RAN bearer network construction scheme for Nanchang Telecom is proposed.
